Proof Jim Jordan Might Be Good as Speaker

Mama always said, ‘Show me your enemies, and I’ll show you who you aren’t. Basically, it means that you are usually the opposite of what you oppose. For GOP Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio, he might be exactly the kind of House Speaker the legislature needs right now.

Why?

Well, because as former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s seat has become vacant, it’s only Democrats and RINOs who oppose Jordan’s appointment to the speakership.

Take former Representatives Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, for instance.

Both used to be what you could call rising stars in politics. But because both chose to honor themselves and the establishment more than their constituents, they are both now out of a job.

And both are adamantly opposing that Jordan be made McCarthy’s successor.

Cheney recently spoke at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis on Wednesday and expressed her concerns about Jordan becoming the next speaker. In particular, she thinks Jordan, like former President Donald J. Trump, played no small part in the incursion at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

According to Cheney, Trump and Jordan were in it together, creating a “conspiracy” that the 2020 election was not done correctly and should have seen Trump as the winner. The now disgraced congresswoman claims that Jordan knew all about Trump’s J6 plans, and yet he did nothing to stop “inciting insurrection.”

As a result, she believes the election of Jordan as speaker will be the end of “a group of elected Republicans could be counted on to defend the Constitution.”

And Kinzinger’s comments are about the same.

He says, “If they make Jim Jordan the Speaker, or anybody like him, all they’re doing is allowing the legislative terrorists – those 8 people – to win, because they’ll end up with a Speaker who’s just like them.”

It is noted that Cheney and Kinzinger were the only two Republicans former Speaker Nancy Pelosi appointed to her special J6 committee to investigate Trump and others. And it seems Pelosi rubbed off on them too much.

So yeah, if these two oppose Jordan, there’s a good chance he’s just right for the job…
