If you look just about anywhere, you’ll see evidence of an ongoing battle with climate change. But these guys are taking the stupidity of all that to a whole new level.
Introducing the “Tyre Extinguishers.”
According to themselves, they have been tasked with saving the planet. But they aren’t like most self-described types, you know, who plan to solve the problem with some new tech or propose new legislation.
Instead, these are just a band of petty thugs out to slash your tires. The only difference is they think they are doing good work by doing so.
As they explain, “SUVs and 4x4s are a disaster for our health, our public safety, and our climate. Bigger and bigger cars are dominating our towns and cities, and all so a privileged few can flaunt their wealth. Because governments and politicians have failed to protect us from this danger, we must protect ourselves. We want to make it impossible to own a huge polluting 4×4 in the world’s urban areas.”
They add, “We do this by deflating the tyres of these massive unnecessary vehicles, causing inconvenience and expense for their owners.”
Hell, the group even leaves a calling card of sorts for their victims explaining this.
Of course, this is all pure madness.
For starters, they understand that leaving anyone stranded on the side of the road, in a parking lot or garage, or even in someone’s driveway is property damage, right?
Secondly, it’s not like it’s actually helping anything. What do you do when you have a flat tire or several of them? You call a tow or some other, usually a larger type of vehicle, to help. Plus, the police might be called. That’s at least one, if not five, or more vehicles now on the road, all because this group wanted to eliminate one.
Besides, it’s pretty apparent by their thinking of large passenger vehicles as “unnecessary” that they don’t have much of a life. Do they expect larger families to parade around in a caravan when they need to travel?
As I said, it’s rather ridiculous, not to mention illegal.
