By now, I’m sure you’ve heard all sorts of stuff about ‘misinformation’ and how it’s ruining our nation. Hell, you’ve probably heard it might have heavily influenced the November 2022 midterms.
But as you have likely noticed, all that ‘misinformation’ talk is coming from one specific side of the aisle. Yep, that’s right: the political left.
And, of course, it’s being purported by their propaganda wing, aka mainstream and social media.
For example, America’s largest video platform recently deleted an interview between the Western Journal and retired three-star US Amy General and former national security advisor to Donald Trump, Michael Flynn.
Why? Because it included “misinformation” about the 2020 election and its results.
According to the platform, “Content that advanced false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the U.S. 2020 presidential election is not allowed on YouTube.”
So the interview was taken down, and a “strike” was given to WJ. The outlet was also informed that, should they receive another two strikes within 90 days, their channel would be permanently deleted in its entirety. Following this notice, WJ wasn’t allowed to post or upload any new live events or videos for several days.
Naturally, the Western Journal isn’t thrilled about their recent censorship by YouTube. But it’s not just because they personally were canceled.
Rather, they are upset, as well as they should be, that YouTube, like so many other liberal-backed media outlets, only allows one side of the story to be told.
It’s a concern we should all have. As WJ’s managing editor Josh Manning noted, when someone nationally known as US Army General and former national security advisor to POTUS can be silenced, what does that mean for everyday people like you and me? How are we supposed to have any hope of making our voices heard?
At least, that’s the case if those voices don’t agree with a certain narrative those in charge want us all to believe.
Like so many other Americans, Flynn isn’t convinced that Joe Biden won the election of 2020. And no, it isn’t just because he used to work for Trump and is still a supporter of the former president.
Instead, it’s because there is so much evidence to support that fraud, errors, and glitches did, in fact, occur before, during, and after the election that could have affected the overall outcome. And yet, all of that evidence is being wholly ignored and silenced.
However, as the Western Journal pointed out, the same cannot be said for claims that Trump was an “illegitimate” president or that Stacey Abrams was cheated out of the governor’s mansion in 2018 by Brian Kemp.
In fact, in 2019, Hillary Clinton was still claiming that she did everything right, yet “you can still have the election stolen from you.”
And yes, this statement and no small number of similar ones claiming that Trump somehow cheated Hillary out of her rightful title as POTUS can all be found on YouTube to this day. The same can be said about the 35 times Stacey Abrams has said Kemp “robbed” her of the Georgia gubernatorial election.
There is, in fact, a 10-minute video to be found on the platform chocked full of Democrats denying election results over the last few years.
So why are these allowed to stay available to the public, despite the lack of evidence, and yet, ones backed up by scores of data by the GOP are silenced nearly as soon as they are recorded?
Unsurprisingly, there’s been no answer from Google about their double standards or anyone else’s.
Some may try to claim that the GOP’s claims of election fraud and the like caused violence and death via the January 6 capital incursion. But didn’t the same happen in the summer of 2020 when Biden and others began to call Trump and even the US as a whole racist?
Do you remember the damage that was wrought by riots that summer? $1 billion to $2 billion in estimated damages, 25 deaths, and countless sent to the hospital.
Plus, you might not have heard, thanks to liberal media, but the White House was even charged by “social justice warriors” that year. While no one died, the President had to be rushed to a nearby bunker, over 60 Secret Service personnel were injured, with nearly a dozen sent to the hospital, and there was significant property damage.
Luckily, the White House has a little better security than the capital grounds, so no actual breach occurred.
But according to the media, those like Flynn are the real problem.
