Buckle Up…Biden’s Unity Summit Should Be a Good Laugh for All

Joe Biden ran on a platform of unity. He wanted to bring the country back together because he felt that the four years of Donald Trump was too divisive for the nation. Though, that may have to do with the Democrats claiming for all four years of Trump’s presidency that “he’s not my president.”

Still, Biden made a promise. And he has done nothing but tear the country apart for the past 18 months that he’s been in office.

Now, he’s discussing a unity summit that should be laughable at best.

The White House announced that the summit is designed to bring Republicans and Democrats together to “counter the corrosive effects of hate-fueled violence on our democracy and public safety.”

It’s hard to believe that the Biden administration even understands the word “unity.” Perhaps they redefined it when no one was looking.

After all, this unity summit is happening just after the FBI conducted a raid on former President Donald Trump’s home.

The administration has done nothing to spark unity.

Biden backed the impeachment of Trump following the January 6 riot.

Biden has chosen to support “Black Lives Matter” activists as opposed to the military, focusing on digging out extremists – but only on the right.

Biden allowed the SCOTUS justices to be harassed, even at their homes.

Biden has even passed the Inflation Reduction Act with absolutely ZERO support of Republicans.

The list could go on and on. If Biden really wanted unity, he should think about what he says and does. It should all start with him, and it sounds like he’s got a lot of explaining to do.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stressed that Biden is looking for public officials from both parties to attend – along with leaders of faith, technology, business, and the community. He also wants civil rights organizations and law enforcement officials to be in attendance.

As of right now, it isn’t clear which Republican lawmakers (if any) have been invited to speak or attend.

This is a political move, pure and simple. It is Biden’s way of trying to get everyone to hold hands and sing “Kumbaya.” He’ll make sure that there are plenty of cameras rolling so that he can show that he’s doing everything he can to unite everyone. And when it doesn’t happen, he can throw up his hands and pretend as though he tried.

His actions speak a lot more than his words. If he wanted unity, he wouldn’t have abandoned Americans behind Taliban lines in Afghanistan. If he wanted unity, he wouldn’t have canceled the Keystone XL pipeline.

Listening to Joe Biden ask for unity is as big of a laugh as he claiming that he puts Americans first. We know that to be yet another lie.

This is all to ensure that the Democrats come out on top during the midterms. Biden knows that he hasn’t provided the necessary support. He says one thing and does another. He claims to want unity and then does the most divisive things that he can possibly do.

A unity summit held at the White House sounds like a made-up event that was thrown together at the last minute. Of course, you’ll never get anyone in the White House to admit to that. They’ll say that they’ve been planning it for months. And watch – when the Republicans don’t show up, they’ll be made to look like villains.

Since the Biden administration loves to change the definition of words, let’s remember this. The Oxford Dictionary defines unity as “the state of being united or joined as a whole.”

If the unity summit doesn’t successfully bring the Republicans and Democrats together as a whole, Biden will have failed. But rather than admitting failure, the definition of the word will conveniently change.
