Soros Targets Texas in Plot to Flip Red State Blue

A George Soros-funded PAC is gearing up for an all-out assault on Texas’s conservative dominance, launching a multimillion-dollar campaign to tip the state blue. According to a new Wall Street Journal report, Texas Majority PAC — bankrolled heavily by Soros — is leading a “Blue Texas” initiative aimed at reshaping the state’s political future and securing it for the Democratic Party within the next decade.
Democrats haven’t won statewide in Texas in nearly three decades, but Soros and his network are determined to change that. In 2024, the billionaire poured $2.1 million into Texas Majority PAC, and this April added another $1 million. The new campaign is expected to exceed the $35 million already spent in the last cycle by the PAC and allied Democrat organizations.
The plan is to bolster candidate recruitment, build up a massive volunteer network, and dramatically increase voter turnout — particularly in left-leaning urban areas — with the goal of flipping Texas by 2032. That timeline conveniently lines up with the 2030 census and reapportionment process, which could hand Texas even more electoral votes as blue states like New York and California lose population.
Katherine Fischer, the group’s deputy executive director, was blunt about their ambitions, telling the Journal: “If a win is on the table in 2026, we don’t want to leave it there by not being organized.”
While the group’s short-term target is the 2026 Senate race — with Colin Allred expected to challenge for Ted Cruz’s seat once again — the long game is much bigger. Soros’s family and political network have already flooded local races across the country, backing soft-on-crime prosecutors, leftist judges, and sweeping abortion amendments. Their Texas campaign is the next phase in a nationwide strategy to secure power through financial muscle and demographic targeting.
Despite a wave of Democrat cash in 2024 — Allred alone raised nearly $100 million — Republicans held the line. Trump trounced Kamala Harris in Texas by nearly 14 points, and Cruz beat Allred by 8.5. Still, Democrats haven’t given up on the dream of turning Texas into the next Virginia.
The 2026 race is shaping up to be a showdown between big money and grassroots resistance. While Soros’s group bets on blue-wave momentum, Republicans like Sen. John Cornyn and AG Ken Paxton are positioning themselves to keep the state red. A recent poll shows Cornyn leading Allred by 4 points, and Paxton by 2 — still tight margins in what should be a safe red state.
With the Left funneling money into Texas like never before, this isn’t just a battle for one seat — it’s a coordinated power grab with national consequences. If Democrats flip Texas, they tilt the entire electoral map, jeopardizing GOP chances at holding the White House beyond 2032.
Soros’s strategy is clear: flood conservative states with outside money, reshape local politics through shadowy PACs, and hope no one notices until it’s too late. Texas voters should consider this a warning — because the fight for the Lone Star State is already underway.
